The Forces Employment Charity and Heropreneurs are to join forces, further bolstering the support available to the military community to help them achieve career success.
Founded in 2009, Heropreneurs specialises in supporting the entrepreneurial ambitions of current and former military personnel and partners. Its bespoke one-to-one mentoring program equips aspiring business owners with the practical skills needed to thrive in the business world.
The Forces Employment Charity provides veterans with life-long, life-changing support, jobs, and training opportunities, regardless of circumstances, rank, length of service, or reason for leaving. With a stunning track record, supporting over 23,000 individuals last year, the Forces Employment Charity is uniquely positioned to offer long-standing expertise with a modern approach to recruitment. It works with families, veterans in the criminal justice system, and wounded, injured and sick Service leavers and more through an unrivalled range of programmes and practical tools specific to individual needs and circumstances.
As a result of Heropreneurs joining the Forces Employment Charity, greater numbers of veterans and their families will be enabled to explore entrepreneurship. Whether that be setting up innovative businesses or gaining commercial insights, the collaboration ensures that all talent and ambition are accounted for. This activity will sit alongside the Forces Employment Charity’s existing 10+ programmes, which each support individual needs and interest areas, such as TechVets, Families, and Military Women programmes.
Heropreneurs’ successful mentorship scheme and thriving community will also be absorbed into the Forces Employment Charity’s existing offering. By combining, veterans and their families will receive extensive support from the military community, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs in one unified location. They will also benefit from the wider relationships FEC has with a range of other partners.
The successful annual Heropreneurs Awards will continue, with the team moving across to work alongside the Forces Employment Charity’s Heropreneurs Lead. The awards, along with in-person and remote access networking events, will play a pivotal role in fostering connections and celebrating achievements.

Heropreneurs will officially join the Forces Employment Charity today, the 31st July 2024. The Heropreneurs Awards 2024 will take place on 14 November.
